Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Last Christmas we went to see Charlie Brown's Christmas at First Stage (see here). This year First Stage performed Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and so off we went! Here are a few photos from our day!

Here are Evan and Nina in the backseat. So silly!

We ate lunch at Pizza Man... :)

It was snoooowwwwing!

Typical Nina and Evan. Just like brother and sister. ;)

Christmas Parade and Enchantment in the Park

This year, the girls, Mark and I walked in the Christmas Parade to support the Volunteer Center's Do Good Bus! They LOVED IT!! It was so fun. Nina especially loved handing out candy canes. We tried to get a few photos along the way!

Nina is in the Santa hat. She made sure to get every kiddo along the way. So sweet!

Later that week, we went to Enchantment in the Park to see the lights. Here are a few photos too! :)

It sure is fun celebrating the season!

Breakfast with Santa

December is full of traditions and the one that kicks it all of is Breakfast with Santa at our Country Club. It is always the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it's so much fun for the girls. We eat breakfast and then they head to the "Workshop" where they spend an hour or more making tons of crafts! So fun!

Here are photos if you'd like to see:

On to the crafts... :)

Thanksgiving Recap

Here is a recap of our Thanksgiving. It was truly a day of good food and even better company!

We started the day like usual by watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

The girls helped me make place cards. :) We didn't have brown paint so we made blue/black/purple turkeys instead. Ha!

A little kitchen helper... in her PJs!

Later on when it came time for dinner, we had a fire going and ate the most delish food. Ina's Parmesan Thyme Crackers (homemade) and Ina's Butternut Squash Hummus for apps. Our turkey was maple and mustard with a Port and Black Pepper Gravy (recipe from Food & Wine mag). Sides were Ina's Herb & Apple Bread Pudding, mashed potatoes, cranberries, Ina's roasted parsnips and carrots. Dessert was Ina's Pumpkin Pie with Bourbon Whipped Cream and homemade Apple Kuchen. So so good!!

After dinner, we app worked on a 1,000 piece puzzle! So addicting!

Facetiming!

For the Evans family Thanksgiving, we started with a stop at Starbucks. Always make the drive more fun! And hot cocoa for the girls is always a special treat!!

It was SO foggy, but beautiful that day!

Little turkeys!!!

I somehow didn't get any photos of the people or food, but Thanksgiving is sure a holiday that fills up my heart. We have SO SO much to be thankful for. Life is good!

P.S. The day before Thanksgiving we volunteered with the Volunteer Center's Do Good Bus! Here are a few photos. I'm so proud to be President of this awesome org!!
