Planner

Over the past many years I’ve bounced between trying different planners and organization methods for my schedule, lists and more. I kept searching for the perfect planner because (1) I love planners and (2) life is super duper important so I need a great place to store life, home, kiddo and business things all in one pretty place.

But, I couldn't find one that really worked for me so I created it.

WHY
Like all of you, I juggle many many things at once. I'm a total ambivert, multitasker and hopeless over-achiever. I am a wife, momma to Nina and Mae, VP of our family business and part chef/project manager/blogger/decorator/storybook reader/curly hair tamer.

I LOVE a good planner and NEED a good planner in my life... type A, anyone? I make lists for my lists … and if you’re anything like me, a planner literally becomes a PART of you.

I believe my success at home, work, in my marriage and with my kiddos doesn’t happen by chance but by choice.

And while I cannot live without technology and my iPhone, I believe some things are meant for paper.

Personalized stationery for thank you notes.
Letters to say hello.
Grocery lists.
To-do lists.

... and...

a master calendar!

HOW
Well, it's no secret I love all things paper so this should’ve been a no brainer for me years ago! I mean, it was a match made in paper heaven when Mr. Evans (an 8th generation could-be printer) and I got married five years ago. Heck, for our first anniversary (the traditional “paper” gift), Mr. Evans made me handmade letterpress monogrammed stationery on his family's 1920 Chandler Letterpress. What a guy.

So when it came time to make a planner for myself, I knew my in-laws would help with the printing (they're fantastic, by the way). Then, I went to work designing the pages and after a bit of magic and help - voila - my Monthly Planner was ready.

I had a ton of fun and loved how it turned out. Maybe there are other people who were also searching for a monthly, pretty, simple, and non-bulky planner? And here we are... they're FOR SALE!

Read on for details.

I went with simple, clean, traditional and trendy black and white rugby stripes. Add in some accents of pink - bright and blush - with lots of white space and there you have it!

The cover is thick and coated so it doesn't show fingerprints, yet it still lays flat. It's staple bound and measures 10x7" when closed and 10x14" when open.

The inside calendar pages feature large boxes to write your plans, banners for major holidays, a "Notes" section and a "Goals" section where you can set 3 goals for yourself to accomplish that month (finish up a nagging project, drink more water, take your daughter to get a manicure, read a new book, etc).

I also added a section where I can write my seasonal Bucket Lists. My husband and I started this about a year ago and for each season set little goals for our family. For example, this past Summer our list included things like run through the sprinkler, take Nina golfing, make root beer floats and homemade ice cream, make smores, etc. It helps us to be more intentional and deliberate with our time.  I love it!

The first page has a little message from me as well as a section for "Areas of Success." Here's is where I keep track of all the areas of my life that I want/need to be successful in - for me this includes things like giving back, going to church, exercising, blogging, working, raising my kiddos, being a great spouse, taking time for friends and family. It's just something I glance at for checks and balances on how my time is being spent. Also, the last page includes a 2016 calendar and space to jot down future plans.

Yay! Thanks for reading and learning about my Monthly Planner. If you are interested in buying one, awesome. You're the best!

I'm not going to bother with an Etsy shop or purchasing software yet, we'll see how this goes. No need to get ahead of myself. :)
